Day 1: Favorite song
Has to be Hallelujah, originally by Leonard Cohen, covered by many many artists.  I know it has a lot of biblical references, and I am not a religious person.  It means something different to me.  To me it's about how love is not all fun and games, love hurts, love makes you angry, bitter, etc.  But it is still something to be grateful for even when you are feeling broken by it.  Love makes you feel alive.
So..yeah :)

By the way, I am too chicken to call that number that left the weird message for me.  Who wants to call it for me?

The bug problem at our house is really getting unsettling.
I was standing near our bed the other morning and I saw a spider.  On the bed.  I barely even saw it because our sheets are grey and so was the spider.  That day, I think I saw at least 3 other spiders.
My husband found a worm just like the one I found in the bathtub the other week.  That day he also found a mouse--alive--and he tossed it outside.
I promise we are not dirty people.  My husband says it's because the house is old.  I feel itchy just thinking about it, though.

I bought a little glass ornament to hang in the window and hopefully prevent another bird crashing into our window.  For those who missed it, a couple months ago a bird crashed into a window and died.  I have rather interesting pictures of it.  I didn't see it until it was a skeleton with feathers, poor thing.

Oh!  The other night I was so lucky (not) to run into a website that showed pictures of celebrity corpses.  Thanks, stumbleupon.  True, you had to click on the people's names to see any pictures...but I'm a glutton for punishment, apparently.  There's just something really wrong about looking at photos of dead people.  I clicked on a couple just out of curiosity and I felt sick.

It just seems like we hound celebrities enough already, it's just kind of weird that we like to look at them when they're dead, too.
