Writer's Block: You're my best friend

I had a couple BFFs. One was Jennifer Sood, and I have no idea where she is now. I keep meaning to look her up on facebook. Not that I think I'd contact her, but I'd like to see what she looks like now, if she's married, etc. We knew each other up until about 3rd grade and then I moved away and we lost touch.
Another was Emily Barron. I actually did find her on FB, but it's been so long since we talked that I think it would be awkward now. Our mothers knew each other. We both have spina bifida and our mothers took us to a youth group for kids with disabilities. We were both crazy about NKOTB together (I think she was a Jordan girl and I have been a Joey girl from day 1) We used to have arguments about how old Joey was (this was the days before internet, kids). I hoped he was a lot younger than she thought he was. I think she ended up being right.
Anyway, we had a falling out later because we were attracted to the same guy at our youth group and I thought he liked her better than he liked me, although he invited me and not her to his high school graduation, anyway, stupid teen angst, yadda yadda. We eventually stopped going to the youth group when we got too old and we simply lost touch.
I think about her sometimes, especially with the recent NKOTB reunion. But I think some things are better left in the past.
