A song that describes you

One song that's always struck a chord (no pun intended) with me is Jimmy Eat World's The Middle.

The whole song speaks to me, but that's the jist of it.  I keep hoping someday I'll be respected, understood, looked up to.  It just seems like I'm worlds away from anyone else I know.  Sure, I know people who are married, with kids, who go to the same church as me, or have a child the same age, or they live in the same area.  But that seems to be where the similarities end.  I'd rather talk about music, or movies, but the people I know want to talk about news stories, politics, vegetarianism, things that make them feel like they're a part of something bigger, I guess.  Me, I'm happy inside my own head most of the time. 

A song you used to love but now hate

I can't really think of anything exactly in this category...but one song I should love but I hate Sarah McLachlan's Angel. I love Sarah. She was like, my idol for quite some time. I was very disappointed when it became clear that she wasn't gay. I'd be late to class at college just to catch her videos and I own a ton of bootlegs and rare dvd's and stuff.

But this song, Angel. Whyyyy? Why must it be so long and dreary and repetitive and why must everyone want to use it at their funeral? It's not even about death. And why must everyone call it "In the Arms of the Angel" or something that is NOT its name?

And why must people say "Oh I love Sarah" and then proceed to butcher her last name?
