I have only read part of the first book, so I have no idea how much more material they can cover from the books (or if they've gone so far from the book plots that it isn't reasonable to follow the books anymore)
But I do hope it ends before it gets bad or has to resort to cliches or repeating plot twists (for instance I really hope they don't kill off Lumen) The best part of last season was how the episodes ended on cliff hangers almost every week. I hope they can keep that up.
