SOMETIMES I WRITE IN CAPS. AND FRAGMENTS.
Aug. 21st, 2009 03:00 pmBy the way, brownie points if you've figured out which blog inspires my style of writing. It works for her, so even if it goes against my grammatically correct style sometimes, it's good to work outside your comfort zone sometimes. RIGHT?
So we're due to move into the new house tomorrow, but we have no fridge, washer or dryer hooked up which in my opinion makes a house unlivable. (can I get a spell check on that? oh good, that's correct. It looks wrong. I like how it spell checks the code, that's cute.)
See what I mean about my grammatically correct self? She reared her ugly head right there. She's the one who smugly chuckles when someone pokes fun at someone's grammar, but makes their own gaffe by spelling it "grammer". Sometimes she gets confused between it's, its and its', and lay, lie, laid, and lied, and tries to avoid these usages whenever possible to hide the fact that she doesn't know how to use them.
So, yeah. Trying to stifle that. It probably comes off as snobbish and obvious even though I might think it's clever to say "his or her" to avoid the possessive its or however the hell you spell it. Whenever I go back and read my own posts I want to shoot myself.
I'm heading down that road right now so let's just end it here. RIGHT...HERE.
