I'm always glad to know so I know people are still safe and doing okay (and I just like to be a part of my friends' lives in whatever ways they're comfortable sharing with me) but it's not like you're obligated to post about it if you don't want to! *hugs!*
Also, don't worry about looking like you "want attention." It's not a sin to be a social primate. You do want attention, you NEED attention, you're human, your brain is wired that way. If I never give you any attention at all what the fuck kind of friend am I? My friends post things. As my own energies and mental crap and whatnot permits, I read or at least skim very nearly all of it, but am certainly not obligated to, and I post when I feel like I can and I have the time or I feel like someone needs me or if I can think of something compelling to say, etc. It brings me joy, it's connection with my friends. It's attention for ME to, a mutual thing. It's giving. It's sharing. It's having friends. It's what you do. I don't resent you and I wouldn't think less of you even if you said "guys I feel crap tonight if you have it in you please come pay attention to me" we're you're friends, and that's what friends do.
So if you can help it/ shut up the braindemons (cuz I know how that goes, too), don't worry about "seeming attention seeking." That's Mean Brain talking. You're okay.
