Paganism, in my book, is "cleaner" than Christianity. Both sides still pick and choose pieces of the religion that suits them - but frankly that is what religion is all about and Paganism is hardly as hypocritical as Christians. Remember "If it harms none, do as you will." Meanwhile the Judeo-Christians needed about 10 rules explaining this sentence.
Do be careful. I'm an old hand at this and my advice comes free and from experience: there are many charismatic and energetic pagans at Ren Fairs. They're good at firing people up over projects that go nowhere. By experience, I mean 30 years - age 10 to age 40. They don't mean harm and they are the sweetest people, but they are demographically throughout my life from South Carolina to Texas to Illinois to Arizona to even England: Flakes. Just keep a foot on the ground when they have an excellent and amazing idea. You will learn so much on history and philosophy and art from these people.
